Howell Communications, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that opened its doors in 1995.   With only two employees, Mike Howell in the field and his wife Stephanie in the office, their office was in a bedroom in their home and their first work truck was a half-ton pickup with a toolbox and a trailer pulled behind it. With lots of sweat, hard work, scrimping, scraping, and saving the business began to grow into Howell Communications as we know it today. They now have multiple full-size trucks with tool bodies, tractors, trailers, and a large shop/warehouse. Amongst Mike and Stephanie’s four children are their two oldest boys, Kyle and Kevin, and as they grew, so did their knowledge of the communications industry.  They often hung out in the shop for “shop talk” when the team members would come in from a long work day. During summers the boys would travel with Mike for work and “help” out their father while their younger sisters would help Stephanie in the office with filing. Once graduating high school, Kyle left for motorcycle mechanic school in Arizona. It didn’t take too long before he realized he missed not only his family but working on Communication Towers.  In 2009 he returned back to California and began working full-time for the family business. Kevin, Upon graduating from Biola University in Southern California with a degree in accounting, started working for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy. Though he loved his time at OCSD, he and his wife had children and wanted to be back around family. This ended up being the perfect time to come back home to the family business he had loved so much when he was younger.  Kevin came back to the office handling all of the accounting at Howell Communications and also assisting out in the field.  Their oldest daughter, Katie, decided to attend CU Boulder, where she graduated with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Communication. She worked part-time (remotely) for Howell Communications helping out with their social media and graphic design. In 2020 both Kyle and Kevin joined Mike and Stephanie in ownership of the beloved family business. Mike is the CEO, Kyle is the COO and Kevin is the CFO.  

Though many things have changed in the past 28 years many things have stayed the same. Howell Communications has never lost its love for the Communication Tower Service industry and its appreciation for each and every customer they have been fortunate enough to serve. Many they now call friends.
